Welcome to the Christmas edition of getting to know your friends. Okay, here’s what you’re supposed to do, and try not to be a SCROOGE!!! Just copy this entire post and paste into your own blog. Change all the answers so that they apply to you.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?  Either–but lean towards bags more often.  Or, “Here’s your bottle of wine.  Got an opener?”

2. Real tree or Artificial?  I live in Arizona, real ones dry out.  I don’t usually put one up at home.  When I was teaching I would usually be away for Christmas Break.  In my classroom, I had a small fake one.  I do have a fake one I inherited from my parents–but it’s a real pain.

3. When do you put up the tree?  When I do, it’s an after Thanksgiving thing.

4. When do you take the tree down? I’ve left a fake tree up through the end of January–took it down because people were coming over.

5. Do you like eggnog? Used to like it as a kid.  Was the only one in the house who drank it.  Mom always buys it when I’m going to be home.  Could live without it now–prefer bourbon

6. Favorite gift received as a child?  Hmmm…will have to think.

7. Hardest person to buy for? Dad.  Stressing about this year.

8. Easiest person to buy for? Me.

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Mom always had one that she painted herself.  Would probably put one out myself over setting up a tree.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Don’t usually get around to it.  Last year I emailed.  Sigh.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? None come to mind.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Drawing a blank. 

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? When I feel like it.  Haven’t started this year.  Yikes!

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Maybe threw it in a recycle bin…but never gave to someone else.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Peppermint ice cream. 

16. Lights on the tree? Definitely. 

17. Favorite Christmas song?  What Child is This?

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Love both! 

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer’s? Nope.  Can’t do the Seven Dwarfs either.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Whichever–just as long as it looks good.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Loved evening as a kid–that I could get up to play in the morning and Mom and Dad could sleep in.  Now–late morning after a nice breakfast.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year?  In Arizona some people go waaaaay overboard with displays and lights in their yards.  Just not classy.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Just as long as there is a theme is a good start.

24. Favorite Christmas cartoon? Not really.

 25. When do you start listening to Christmas music?  Each year it gets later and later.

26. What do you want for Christmas this year? Staying in Phoenix.  Parents and brother may visit.  Boboli party on Eve.  Probably something with Adam

27. Who is most likely to respond to this? Not sure.

28. Who is least likely to respond to this? Someone who doesn’t read it.
